I will try to find my place

IN THE DIARY OF JAAAAAANE!!!!

I love that song. Go listen to it if you haven't already. Oh my god. *loves*
(Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin)

So, Happy Easter! Hope everyone is having a great holiday! Ironically I'm listening to my "Blake Playlist" (Blake is a character in my book) and so the songs are super dark, i.e. Pain by Three Days Grace, Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin, Forgotten by Avril Lavigne.... oh, irony.

I'm actually extremely happy when I listen to this music. It just makes me feel so GOOD to listen to that crazy rock/metal/whatever music.

In other news, I have a rant.
There's this girl in my movie class who hasn't read Twilight "because all the stupid preppy girls are obsessed with it". I mean, I know that those girls are irritating and not who smart people want to be. But is that a good reason not to read a book? A girl I don't really like loves Harry Potter. Does that mean *I* shouldn't have read the books? No, it does not.

And I'm sick of people on Nerdfighters.com acting like people can't be nerds/smart and like Twilight without mocking it. I love Twilight. I don't dislike a single book in the series. Even though I complain about Bella and how stupid everything is, I don't really feel that way; I feel like I was pressured to do that because awesome people I love (fiveawesomegirls, my best friends, ect.) were doing it.
But here's the thing. Bella can be a bit annoying, but I actually really like her. Edward... eh. But again, I like him most of the time. I love Jacob and all the Cullens and werewolves (well I don't like Rosalie... but that's it.)

Does this make me less intelligent, because I really love those books? I don't think Stephenie Meyer is a bad author either. Yes, Twilight had plot holes and confusing parts. But so did Harry Potter, and it is an brilliant book series! Twilight has a lot of haters and people who "like the book" but bitch about how much it sucks all the time. Well, I'd like to see them write 4 Harry-Potter-and-the-Goblet-of-Fire-sized books and remember everything perfectly before they complain about her.

I've read the Host, and it is a BRILLIANT book, one of my favorites ever. I love it. Stephenie wrote it, and it's great. So you can't say she's a "bad author" just because you don't necessarily like Twilight for whatever reason.

Let's say you think I'm one of those people who obviously doesn't pay attention to books if I think Twilight is a well-written book. Okay, well, I've read all seven Harry Potter books, the Catcher in the Rye, Slaughterhouse-Five, all the John Green books, Feed, and who knows how many others I've read in my life. I know for a fact that I'm not being a shallow reader. I enjoy the style of Twilight. A lot.

Does this make me "not a nerd"? I don't believe so. I love math, I love reading, I love learning new things, and I care about the environment and believe in equality in marriage; I want to know what's going on in the world. I have complete confidence that I am an intelligent person.

So, my point is this: I think people who insist that Twilight is crap (or any book for that matter) shouldn't try to force their opinion on others. And if they are going to explain why they don't like it, try using an intelligent explanation, i.e. "I don't like first person set ups" or "I found the characters too shallow/I didn't like the plot" ect. People are fully willing to discuss books they like and dislike. But when I read "Bella's a bitch" all over the place, I really start to wonder if there couldn't be a more mature way of phrasing that.

Basically, I don't really care if you don't like Twilight or Harry Potter (although then I'd faint, because WHO WOULDN'T LOVE HARRY POTTER?!) or any of the books I adore. You're entitled to your opinions. It doesn't make me mad at you or anything! I love meeting people with different views on things, because it can open up new doors for me.

But just because someone you dislike likes a book, that doesn't mean you should never try it. If the storyline of Twilight doesn't interest you, fine. But if you're not reading it because the girl you hate likes it, that's just wrong. Open up a little!
If my worst enemy liked the Catcher in the Rye, I still would have read it.

Think about it.

Frick.

I didn't post a blog yesterday. I CAN EXPLAIN.
I woke up at 7am to go to a house inspection with my dad for the house we're moving into in May. Then we get back and I fling some stuff into a backpack and go to a friend's house for a sleepover. THEN I have a class today, so I JUST got back, checked all my emails and messages on MySpace and Facebook, and now I'm blogging. Yay.

I just went on Twitter and was VERY unhappy to see that John Green has STILL not replied to my many Tweets. Curse you, John! *scowls*

Anyway... *sighs dramatically*
So I took a 5 top cereals poll thing on the LivingSocial Facebook thing, and my top 5 are Cheerios, Gorilla Munch, Corn Flakes, Cracklin' Oat Bran, and Oatmeal.
Some of my friends picked Lucky Charms, Frosted Flakes, and Cocoa Pebbles.

I think I'm probably considered a weirdo....

Oh well!

It's B-B-B-BEDA time!

Welcome to day THREE! And still. No subscribers.
The excitement is palatable.

Anyway, what to talk about what to talk about... hmm.
OH YES. OF COURSE.
It's GERARD WAY'S 32nd BIRTHDAY!!!! YAAAAAY!

I know I'm a scary fan-girl. *creepy smile*

I'm reading Uglies by Scott Westerfeld as well as Autumn Quest by Terie Garrison. I'm really enjoying both so far. On my soon-to-be-read list are:
1. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
2. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
3. The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
and finally,
4. Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons

(in that order)

I'm pretty psyched to read The Hunger Games, I've heard nothing but raving reviews about it. And my friend Yarnie loves it, so that's reason enough in my opinion.

SPEAKING of Yarnie, her birthday is coming up. HOORAY FOR YARNIE!

And moving right along...
;)

Day Two: Time Lords, Sexy Art, and Exciting Late-Night Stalker Quests

Another day, another five billion topics to cover. Let's get this party started!
First off: Time Lords. (well mostly Time TRAVEL.)
Hank mentioned in his video such things as wormholes, the Grandfather Paradox, Time Travel, ect. I followed his thoughts as best I could. And I agree with him (and Doctor Who) on pretty much everything. So, my question is, what do YOU think? (I know. No one is reading this. Do you see me caring?)

Secondly, Sexy Art! Just a quick thing. I drew an AMAZING (and sexy) drawing today. I love to draw, but I have issues proportioning my people well. But today, I achieved my goal quite well! You get a glimpse of "Adrian" in my video so go lookie!

Finally: Stalking. And exciting news, but whatever. If you follow me on Twitter (again. I know. No one. Shush.) you'll have noticed that last night's posts were mostly "@realjohngreen HI!" and "@maureenjohnson HI!"
I stalked them RELENTLESSLY. They're both amazing, and I know I probably made them want to rip out all their hair and beat me with a stick... and I feel guilty now for being so obnoxious. BUT my labors (HA) paid off, because Maureen wrote me back finally! It took about two or so hours of spam, but I am so excited I would have screamed if it weren't midnight.

Am I obsessive and creepy beyond reason? Yes, why yes I am.
Anyway, I guess I'll see you tomorrow, eh?
(Psst. I might post some stuff on my other blog so go over there and follow me, okay?!)

Two posts in one day?

Why yes!
One of my heroes and fellow BEDA-er, Maureen Johnson (also a BRILLIANT author) is also a Twitter-er. (follow me)
I kind of... spammed her (and John Green) relentlessly tonight, because they were both online and THEY ARE MY HEROES, HELLO!?
So after threatening (not really) to stay up all night, Maureen...
REPLIED TO ME.
NEED PROOF?

Yeah. "justplainaud" is ME.
I am SO happy.
And since Maureen is amazing and I love her, I must obey. And I will go to bed.
Goodnight.
See you again tomorrow! (this will be fun...)

It's April Seventh! Do YOU know where your BEDA blog is?

I wish I had known on April First that BEDA would be a super-awesome thing I'd be dying to become a part of.
Oh, well! Better late than never!
I'm fairly sure the only requirement is to blog every day. Is there a specific length required?
If so, please allow this rant.

People are so ridiculously idiotic sometimes. It would be laughable if it weren't so infuriating. Perfect example is this girl who says, in a blog entry, that she is resolving to be "nice to people whether or not she likes them" and to be "a nicer person". Next blog entry? An letter chock-full of f-bombs stating how this other girl girl is "such a bitch" who is a loser and "only has horses for friends" and "just WISHES she was cool enough to smoke pot". My only views after reading this are, "what kind of 'nice person' would EVER say something like that, especially on the internet?"

I don't get how people actually think that they are such smart, kind individuals that every one obviously would adore when they say that sort of thing! Not to mention, how she cussed this other girl out for calling her a "pot-head" ("you sound like a noob, it's called a stoner."). I hate to break it to you, but honestly it doesn't matter what it's called. Smoking pot is not "cool" and anyone with a brain knows that.

It gets me so angry. And the BEST part was that the "letter" was so poorly written. If you're going to be a complete jerk, at least be an intelligent one. But using an excessive amount of swearing (i.e. F*ck yooooouuuu) only makes you seem more incompetent, because really, that's the worst comebackless comback I've ever heard.

But at the end, I nearly laughed. Because it was signed, "Good residence".

Oh, you irritating person who shall remain anonymous...
